Falcons Name Tua Tagovailoa as Starting Quarterback

The Atlanta Falcons have officially designated Tua Tagovailoa as their starting quarterback, with Cooper Rush as the backup and Jack Strand in third place on the depth chart.

Michael Penix Jr. is not included in the main list but is noted as an injured player. Although he is practicing, he has not yet taken part in 11-on-11 drills following his recovery from an ACL injury.

As the season approaches, Tagovailoa appears to be the frontrunner for the starting position, especially given the lack of prior connections between the current coaching staff and Penix, who was acquired as the eighth overall pick.
