Falcons Release Linebacker Troy Andersen
The Atlanta Falcons announced the release of linebacker Troy Andersen on Friday morning.
Andersen, selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, had a promising start, playing in every game during his rookie season. However, he faced significant injury setbacks, participating in only two games in 2023 due to shoulder and pectoral injuries, and missing the entire 2025 season because of a knee injury.
During his time with the Falcons, Andersen played a total of 26 games, recording 135 tackles, five tackles for loss, one interception return for a touchdown, a half-sack, and a forced fumble. To fill the vacant roster spot, the Falcons signed wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson.
