Falcons Release OL Layden Robinson and P Matthew Hayball
The Atlanta Falcons announced on Monday the waiving of offensive lineman Layden Robinson and punter Matthew Hayball.
Robinson, who is 25 years old, was a standout at Texas A&M, where he started for three years and received second-team All-SEC honors in 2023. He was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft and was in the second year of a rookie contract worth nearly $4.9 million, which included a signing bonus of over $852,000.
After being waived by the Patriots due to an injury designation, Robinson briefly joined the Raiders but did not play in the 2025 season, despite having started most games during his rookie year with New England. In 2024, he participated in 13 games for the Patriots, making 11 starts at the guard position.
