Falcons Rookie Kendal Daniels Injured During Game Against Bears
Kendal Daniels, a rookie linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons, sustained a serious injury during a game against the Chicago Bears.
The injury occurred when Daniels tackled Bears tight end Colston Loveland, resulting in a collision between Daniels' facemask and Loveland's knee. Medical personnel attended to Daniels on the field for several minutes as teammates expressed concern. He was ultimately placed on a stretcher and transported off the field, with his neck immobilized and his jersey cut by medical staff. The Falcons confirmed he would not return to the game due to a neck injury.
Daniels, 23, was selected in the fourth round of the draft this year after playing for Oklahoma State and transferring to Oklahoma in 2025. His injury adds to the Falcons' challenges, as they have now lost both linebackers responsible for calling defensive plays.
