Falcons Sign Running Back Trey Sermon
The Atlanta Falcons have added running back Trey Sermon to their roster as they prepare for the upcoming season. This move comes shortly after the team extended the contract of Bijan Robinson.
Sermon was signed to fill an open spot on the 90-man roster after the Falcons released two players earlier in the day. A former third-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2021, Sermon has also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, and Pittsburgh Steelers over his career.
Throughout his time in the NFL, Sermon has recorded 91 carries for 319 yards and two touchdowns across 46 games, along with 22 receptions for 138 yards. He will compete with Brian Robinson, Tyler Goodson, Nathan Carter, and Cash Jones for a position on the Falcons' 53-man roster.
