Fan Creates Rwanda's Future F1 Circuit in Assetto Corsa Simulation
A fan has successfully recreated the proposed Formula 1 circuit in Rwanda within the Assetto Corsa simulation, just days following the announcement of a decade-long deal for F1 to race in Africa.
The simulation, created by a modder known as Nukedrop, features footage that began circulating online within 72 hours of the announcement. This user-generated content provides a glimpse of what the track might look like from a driver's perspective, although it is based on a single preview image released by F1 and not the official layout.
Nukedrop's version of the circuit measures 4.65 kilometers, which is shorter than the approximately 6-kilometer layout described by official designers. The fan-made track has been shared widely, accumulating significant views and likes on social media. The official circuit, designed by WurzDesign and Tilke Engineering, is set to be located in Bugesera, near Kigali, and will feature 17 corners and a high-speed straight. The first race is anticipated in the early 2030s, leaving fans to speculate about the track until the official layout is revealed.
