Fan Disrupts Yankees Game with Palestine Flag on 9/11 Anniversary

A fan entered the field at Yankee Stadium during the seventh inning of a game between the Mets and Yankees, waving a Palestine flag at 9:11 p.m. ET on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. The individual was quickly tackled and detained by security personnel.

The fan accessed the field from the left-field seats and ran towards center field, managing to evade security for a short time before being apprehended in the outfield. Following the incident, spectators above the Mets' bullpen reacted by throwing beer cans and booing as the fan was escorted away.

This disruption occurred during a critical moment in the game, with the Mets having the bases loaded and two outs. Prior to the game, the Yankees held a ceremony to honor the victims of the September 11 attacks, featuring several members of the 2001 Yankees, including Derek Jeter.
