FanGraphs Launches Contract Crowdsourcing for 2026-27 Free Agency

FanGraphs has initiated a contract crowdsourcing project aimed at understanding the 2026-27 free agent market, which will commence five days after the conclusion of the World Series.

This year’s project incorporates reader feedback, allowing participants to predict whether players will receive minor league contracts or no contracts at all. Additionally, users can indicate the likelihood of players with options remaining with their current teams or entering free agency. The projected WAR figures are based on the initial 2027 Steamer600 projections.

The current ballots feature 12 free agents, specifically a selection of relievers, some of whom have prior starting experience.
