Fantasy Football Late-Round Sleepers to Consider
Finding valuable players in the late rounds of fantasy football drafts can be challenging, but some athletes may offer significant potential. These players might exceed expectations or deliver impactful performances if they succeed.
Chig Okonkwo, now with the Washington Commanders, has an average draft position of 16.07. Previously a lead receiving tight end for the Tennessee Titans, he achieved a notable 2.62 yards per route run as a rookie, ranking second among tight ends with at least 150 routes in the past four seasons. Despite his strong performance metrics, Okonkwo has struggled with touchdowns, scoring only eight in four years, partly due to the Titans' offensive limitations.
The Commanders have invested in Okonkwo with a three-year, $27 million contract, indicating their confidence in his abilities. He replaces Zach Ertz, who ended last season on injured reserve, while John Bates will serve as the primary blocking tight end.
