Fantasy Football Panic Meter: Assessing Players' Performances in Week 5
As the fantasy football season reaches its fifth week, managers are reassessing their strategies following some disappointing performances. This week’s Panic Meter focuses on Parker Washington, Emeka Egbuka, and Jalen Hurts, whose recent outings have raised concerns among fantasy managers.
Parker Washington, who had been performing well earlier in the season, recorded only one catch for seven yards in Week 4 against Cincinnati, leading to questions about his reliability. Despite this setback, he remains a player to keep in lineups as one poor game is not indicative of his overall potential.
Emeka Egbuka has also struggled, managing just two catches for 13 yards in his latest game, bringing his season totals to 15 receptions and 154 yards. With his ceiling appearing limited and potential quarterback issues, he is now viewed as a low-ceiling FLEX option. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts has faced significant challenges, throwing for only 93 yards against the Rams and struggling with his rushing game. While he has not been performing at expected levels, his past success keeps him from being dropped entirely, though starting him may require more confidence than usual.
