Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Recommendations for Week 5

As the fantasy hockey season progresses into its fifth week, managers are evaluating their teams and considering waiver wire options to improve performance. Players like Farabee, who has recently scored two goals and provided four assists in his last four games, are gaining attention, especially with Calgary's top line performance.

Cowan is also making waves, averaging nearly a point per game while playing alongside top scorers in Toronto. His contributions are significant as the Maple Leafs rank among the highest-scoring teams in the league.

Gritsyuk is on a five-game goal streak, playing with notable teammates, while D’Astous is capitalizing on increased power-play time with the Lightning. Additionally, Evans is showing promise with solid defensive stats and offensive contributions, although he faces competition for ice time. Lastly, Silovs has recorded five wins and two shutouts, making him a potential asset despite a rocky start to the season.
