A man in his 70s has died following a car accident in Allerton, Liverpool. The incident occurred at 09:15 BST on Saturday when the victim's red Skoda Fabia struck a tree while driving along Woolton Road.

Merseyside Police confirmed that the man died at the scene, and his next of kin have been notified. Authorities have closed a section of Woolton Road near Allerton Towers as they conduct their investigation into the collision.
