FC Goa Eliminated from AFC Champions League Two Following 0-3 Defeat
FC Goa's campaign in the AFC Champions League Two concluded after a 0-3 defeat to Turkmenistan's FC Arkadag at the Arkadag Stadium. The match took place on Wednesday, marking the end of FC Goa's participation in this tournament.
After a scoreless first half, FC Arkadag took control in the second half, scoring three goals within a span of 17 minutes. The first goal came in the 58th minute when Didar Durdyyew capitalized on a cross from Yazgylych Gurbanov. Rahman Myratberdiýew added a second goal shortly after, and Arzuwguly Sapargulyyew sealed the victory with a free-kick in the 75th minute.
Despite several attempts, FC Goa was unable to respond effectively to Arkadag's offensive. The defeat means FC Goa will shift their focus to the AFC Challenge League, the third-tier club competition in Asia, while FC Arkadag advances to the group stage of the AFC Champions League Two.
