Félix Auger-Aliassime from Montreal and Alexandra Eala from the Philippines were eliminated from the mixed doubles event at the U.S. Open on Tuesday, losing 4-1, 4-1 to the French-Ukrainian pair of Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina.
Despite achieving three aces and nine winners, Auger-Aliassime and Eala struggled with eight unforced errors. Monfils and Svitolina dominated the match, winning all seven of their first-serve points and converting 5-of-9 on their second serve.
