Barcelona's preseason is underway, but the team faces challenges following the departure of veteran striker Robert Lewandowski to Chicago Fire and stalled negotiations for Julián Álvarez from River Plate. Torres currently stands as the only established central striker, making his potential exit a pressing issue for the club.
In an interview, Torres acknowledged interest from Paris Saint-Germain but emphasized his contractual obligation to Barcelona, stating that the club must demonstrate their desire to keep him. His contract runs until June 2027, prompting the club to either negotiate an extension or consider a transfer to avoid losing him for free.
