Ferrari Aims to Improve Qualifying Performance After Zandvoort Race

Ferrari's team principal Fred Vasseur has highlighted the need for the team to enhance its qualifying performance and overall execution after a challenging race at the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix. Despite showing strong race pace, Ferrari was unable to achieve optimal results due to difficulties in qualifying.

During the race, both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finished behind George Russell, with Vasseur noting that Ferrari's pace was superior to that of Mercedes. However, the team's qualifying struggles, where neither driver advanced beyond the third row, hampered their race strategy. Leclerc's slow start and a poor pit stop further complicated their efforts.

Vasseur pointed out that while the car's pace was not an issue, the team must focus on improving their qualifying preparation and execution. He acknowledged that tire management and out-lap preparation are critical for success in qualifying, indicating that Ferrari has previously performed well in this area during the season. Following the race, Ferrari remains in second place in the standings, trailing Mercedes by 87 points.
