Ferrari Drivers' Clash at Italian GP Not Beneficial for Team, Says Vasseur

During the opening lap of the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix, an incident occurred between Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, leading to Hamilton being forced off the track into the gravel. This clash resulted in Hamilton dropping to 10th place.

Fred Vasseur, the team principal of Ferrari, expressed that the outcome of the incident was not favorable for the team. He noted that he had a brief conversation with Hamilton but had not yet spoken to Leclerc about the situation. Vasseur mentioned that while Ferrari has allowed its drivers to race freely this season, he may need to consider team orders in the future.

Leclerc, who later retired from the race after crashing, acknowledged that the first-lap incident was not ideal for the team. Hamilton, reflecting on the incident, stated that he was ahead during the maneuver. Following the race, Ferrari is now 122 points behind Mercedes in the constructors' standings.
