Ferrari Drivers Temper Expectations for US GP Upgrades
Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have expressed caution regarding the expectations for Ferrari's upgrade package at the United States Grand Prix in Austin.
The team has introduced a substantial upgrade that includes a new floor and modified sidepods aimed at reducing drag. However, both drivers have indicated that the improvements may not be as significant as anticipated. Leclerc noted that while the upgrades are a step in the right direction, they are not major and will need to be tested on the track.
Hamilton described the upgrades as minimal, suggesting they might only provide a marginal improvement. He highlighted the competitive nature of the field, particularly with Red Bull's performance. Despite the modest upgrades, Leclerc remains hopeful that even small changes could lead to better results, given the tight competition among the top teams. Ferrari currently sits second in the constructors' championship, trailing Mercedes by 134 points.
