Ferrari Elevates Dino Beganovic to F1 Reserve Driver for 2027
Dino Beganovic is set to leave Formula 2 as he takes on the role of reserve driver for Ferrari in the 2027 Formula 1 season.
Having been part of the Ferrari Driver Academy for seven years, Beganovic has achieved notable success, including winning the Italian and Swedish karting championships and finishing third in Italian F4. He also secured the Formula Regional European Championship title and placed sixth in two seasons of F3. Currently, he ranks fifth in the 2026 F2 standings, with recent victories in Madring and Baku.
While Beganovic has excelled in his junior career, he will join Antonio Giovinazzi as a reserve driver without securing a full-time F1 seat. His promotion comes as Rafael Camara, another Ferrari junior, leads the F2 championship and has signed with Haas for 2027. Additionally, Tuukka Taponen will represent Ferrari in F1's feeder series next year after a strong finish in F3.
