Ferrari Faces Tensions After Race Incident

Ferrari's team principal Fred Vasseur has recognized that the outcome of the first lap at the recent race was detrimental to the team, following a collision between drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.

The incident occurred at the first chicane, where both drivers went wheel-to-wheel, resulting in Hamilton losing five positions and Leclerc crashing out shortly after. Hamilton expressed frustration, stating that Leclerc pushed him off the track, while Leclerc admitted to making a mistake in the cornering.

Vasseur indicated that discussions regarding team orders may be necessary, reflecting on past situations where teams had to make strategic decisions to optimize results. He emphasized the challenge of balancing driver freedom with team objectives, noting that it is never an easy decision to impose team orders.
