Ferrari Secures Pole Position at WEC Austin After Tied Qualifying Times

Antonio Giovinazzi of Ferrari claimed pole position for the 2026 World Endurance Championship at Austin, achieving a time of 1m52.445s during the Hyperpole session. This event took place at the Circuit of the Americas, where he was tied with Jack Aitken from Cadillac, who also recorded the same lap time.

Giovinazzi's earlier lap secured him the pole due to his time being set first. Charles Milesi of Alpine finished third with a time of 1m52.474s, while Harry Tincknell in an Aston Martin took fourth place. Nicklas Nielsen in another Ferrari rounded out the top five.

The Hyperpole session saw the top four cars separated by just 0.050 seconds, highlighting the competitive nature of the qualifying rounds. The Lone Star Le Mans six-hour race is scheduled to start at 13:00 local time on Sunday.
