Ferrari has decided to use an earlier engine specification for Charles Leclerc during the Madrid race, opting for caution while evaluating his upgraded Monza engine.

The team chose to utilize an existing ADUO1 engine from Leclerc's allocation instead of the newer ADUO2 unit to avoid complications.
