
Ferrari Unveils Updated 499P for 2027 WEC Season
Ferrari has introduced the updated version of its 499P hypercar, which recently underwent testing at Monza in preparation for the 2027 World Endurance Championship. The prototype, featuring a black, white, and grey camouflage livery, was tested alongside the current model to assess performance improvements.
During the two-day testing session, drivers Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, Antonio Giovinazzi, and Alessandro Pier Guidi focused on enhancing the hybrid prototype's overall performance. Ferrari's technical chief, Ferdinando Cannizzo, emphasized a comprehensive approach to updates, aiming to improve the car's competitiveness across various conditions.
The updated 499P includes notable design changes, such as modifications to the front splitter, headlights, and rear wing, all aimed at optimizing aerodynamics. Following successful testing, Ferrari expressed satisfaction with the results, indicating progress towards finalizing the car's design for the upcoming season.
