Ferrari's Management of Hamilton and Leclerc Under Scrutiny After Dutch GP
Following the Dutch Grand Prix, Will Buxton has expressed doubts regarding Ferrari's capability to manage the relationship between Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. His comments came during an episode of the Up To Speed podcast, where he noted Ferrari's hesitation in issuing team orders compared to Mercedes' swift execution of a position swap.
Buxton highlighted that while Mercedes effectively coordinated their drivers, Ferrari's indecision led to frustration for Hamilton, who voiced his concerns over the team's performance. He suggested that this situation serves as a test for Ferrari's management rather than the drivers themselves.
Leclerc, who has been with Ferrari since 2019, is seen as a key figure within the team, while Hamilton joined in 2025 after a long tenure with Mercedes. Buxton pointed out the challenges of satisfying both drivers, emphasizing that in Formula 1, it is often impossible to keep both parties content in competitive scenarios.
