FIA Confirms Red Bull Has Most Powerful Engine in F1
The FIA has reaffirmed that Red Bull possesses the most powerful engine in Formula 1 according to its latest rankings. This announcement follows a similar conclusion made three months prior.
This decision is disappointing for Red Bull, which had anticipated the opportunity to upgrade its engine. The FIA's new hybrid engine regulations aim to assist manufacturers with performance deficits, allowing them to catch up.
The rankings, released after the Dutch Grand Prix, indicate that while Mercedes is believed to have the best overall engine performance, the FIA's assessment focuses solely on the internal combustion engine's power, excluding the electrical components that contribute significantly to total performance. Mercedes is set to receive additional upgrades in the coming years, while other manufacturers, except Red Bull, will also benefit from upgrades.
