FIA Court Responds to Alpine's Lack of Objection in Appeal Case

The FIA's International Court of Appeal has stated that Alpine was given two chances to contest the judges during the Monaco hearing but did not raise any objections. This response follows Flavio Briatore's comments regarding appeal judge Filippo Marchino, which he made during a press conference at Monza.

Briatore alleged that Marchino had connections to McLaren and criticized his questioning of witnesses in the case that led to the disqualification of Pierre Gasly's podium finish in Monaco. In contrast, McLaren's team principal Andrea Stella dismissed Briatore's claims as offensive.

The FIA Courts defended their procedures, noting that judges disclose their interests annually and sign declarations of independence for each case. They confirmed that Alpine did not express any concerns during the hearing. While the court expressed confidence in the integrity of its judges, it acknowledged that Alpine could pursue further legal options, leaving the team to clarify why their concerns emerged only after the verdict.
