FIA Opens Advanced Remote Operations Centre in Biggin Hill
The FIA has launched its new Remote Operations Centre (ROC) at Biggin Hill, U.K., in collaboration with Formula 1. This facility aims to provide real-time support for Race Control and stewards during F1, F2, and F3 races, ensuring fair and consistent decision-making.
The ROC represents a significant investment in technology and infrastructure, enhancing race management standards. It has been operational since the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix, offering around-the-clock support during Grand Prix weekends with a team of up to 16 staff members.
Equipped with advanced tools, the ROC processes live data from numerous audio and video feeds, assisting FIA officials in identifying potential race infringements. The facility also contributes to the FIA's High Performance Programme for Officials, fostering the development of future race officials.
