FIA Partners with AWS to Integrate AI in Formula 1 Regulations
The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has entered into a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to incorporate artificial intelligence in the formulation of upcoming Formula 1 regulations. This collaboration marks AWS as the FIA's official AI and cloud computing partner, extending its technology across various motorsport domains, including F1.
This partnership will significantly influence the drafting of future rules, as the FIA currently employs AWS's computing resources for aerodynamic simulations. With the new agreement, FIA's technical and engineering teams will gain access to AI tools that will aid in the regulation development process.
The FIA president emphasized the necessity for the organization to embrace technological advancements in the sport. The partnership aims to enhance participation at all levels, from professional racing to grassroots initiatives, by streamlining processes for drivers, officials, and volunteers. Additionally, AWS will support the FIA Awards and the FIA Sustainable Innovation Series.
