During WWE SmackDown, Finn Balor returned as 'The Demon,' a persona he last portrayed at WrestleMania 42. This revival occurred in a segment hosted by Danhausen, who had been teasing an experiment involving Balor.

As the segment unfolded, GUNTHER attacked Danhausen, putting him through a table. Despite attempts by Minihausens to intervene, they were also overpowered by GUNTHER. In a dramatic turn, Danhausen cursed GUNTHER, leading to the lights dimming and the sound of a heartbeat echoing through the arena.

Balor emerged from a gurney, confronting GUNTHER, who attempted to strike him with a belt but was unsuccessful. Balor then executed a dropkick that sent GUNTHER crashing through a table and followed up with a Coup de Grace from a ladder, putting GUNTHER through the announcer's desk before posing with Danhausen to conclude the segment.
