Fitbit Edge Unveiled: Key Features and Changes
Fitbit has introduced the Fitbit Edge, replacing the previously anticipated Charge 7. This new device aligns more closely with the Google Pixel Watch 5 in terms of user interface and features.
The Fitbit Edge features a 1.34-inch display, a physical side button, and an altimeter for tracking elevation. It supports automatic workout detection for approximately 100 sports, a significant increase from the previous models. The GPS accuracy is claimed to be 40% better than that of the Charge 6, and the device now has a user-replaceable battery.
Despite these enhancements, the price has risen to $179, up from the Charge 6's typical price range of $99 to $129. Notably, Google Pay has been removed from the Edge, and pre-orders are currently open, with availability set for October 27.
