Five MLB Teams Yet to Win a World Series
The World Series, Major League Baseball's championship event, takes place each fall. While many teams have celebrated victories, five franchises have yet to secure a title.
In the 2026 World Series, the Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays are among these teams, with the Brewers currently leading the series 3-1 after winning Game 4. The Brewers, originally the Seattle Pilots in 1969, have made the postseason three times, with their closest attempt being in 1982 when they lost to the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series.
The Rays, established in 1995, have reached the World Series twice but have not won. They lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008 and the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020. Other teams that have never won a World Series include the Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, and Seattle Mariners, each with their own playoff histories but no championships to date.
