Five Teens Die in Colorado Car Crash
Five 17-year-old boys died in a car crash in Grand Junction, Colorado, when their vehicle went off a cliff late Saturday night, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred in a residential area on Lookout Lane, prompting a response from police and fire personnel shortly before 8 a.m. local time on Sunday. Upon arrival, responders found the vehicle crashed on the hillside, and all five boys were pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial investigations suggest the vehicle was traveling southbound when it veered off the road and down the incline. Speed is being considered a factor in the ongoing investigation. Among the occupants, three were wearing seatbelts, while two were ejected from the vehicle due to not wearing them. The boys were residents of Grand Junction, but their names have not been released as per policy regarding minors.
