Florida QB Aaron Philo's Status in Doubt for Game Against No. 7 Texas
Florida's starting quarterback Aaron Philo is uncertain for Saturday's matchup against No. 7 Texas due to a shoulder injury that has limited his practice participation this week.
A source indicated that Philo is likely to be listed as questionable on the Southeastern Conference's injury report. If he is unable to play, sophomore Tramell Jones would take the field for his first career start, having previously lost the starting position to Philo during training camp.
This season, Philo has achieved a completion rate of 70.5%, accumulating 1,341 yards, nine touchdowns, and three interceptions. In his last game, he completed 21 of 28 passes for 227 yards, along with one touchdown and one interception. The Gators, currently 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the SEC, faced challenges in their previous visit to Austin, where they had to rely on backup quarterback Aidan Warner.
