Folarin Balogun Decides Against Everton Move After Medical
Folarin Balogun has opted to stay with Monaco, despite an agreed transfer to Everton.
The transfer fell apart after Balogun underwent a medical at Everton's Finch Farm training facility, where issues were discovered that prompted both clubs to renegotiate the initial £40 million deal for the striker.
Although a deal sheet had been signed before the transfer deadline, Balogun ultimately decided against the move. Everton had pursued Balogun following the transfer of Beto to Fiorentina and had also considered other strikers, but were unable to secure any of them. On the same transfer deadline day, Everton successfully signed Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City and Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Lyon.
