Ford Completes Initial Testing of New Hypercar for WEC

Ford Racing has concluded its first testing phase with the new LMDh prototype, which is slated to enter the Hypercar class in the 2027 World Endurance Championship.

The testing took place at Circuit Paul Ricard, where the vehicle covered over 1,000 km. This initial shakedown was followed by three days of comprehensive testing to ensure the car's performance and reliability.

Drivers Logan Sargeant, Matt Campbell, Tom Blomqvist, and Mike Rockenfeller participated in the testing, while Sebastian Priaulx and Nick Yelloly are expected to drive in upcoming sessions. Ford Racing's director Mark Rushbrook emphasized the significance of this milestone for the team, noting the collaborative effort among the drivers. The program will proceed with simulator testing in North Carolina and further track sessions at various locations, including Portimao and Silverstone.
