Ford Completes Initial Testing of New LMDh at Paul Ricard

Ford Racing has concluded its initial testing phase for the new LMDh prototype at Circuit Paul Ricard, marking a significant step towards its entry in the Hypercar class of the 2027 World Endurance Championship.

The prototype, built on an Oreca chassis, covered over 1,000 kilometers during the testing, which included a shakedown followed by three full days of performance evaluation. Drivers Logan Sargeant, Matt Campbell, Tom Blomqvist, and Mike Rockenfeller participated in the testing, while Sebastian Priaulx and Nick Yelloly are set to drive in upcoming sessions.

Ford Racing's director, Mark Rushbrook, emphasized the importance of this milestone for the team, noting that each kilometer brings them closer to competing at Le Mans. The program will proceed with simulator testing in North Carolina, followed by additional tests at various tracks including Portimao and Silverstone.
