Former Patriots Wide Receiver Aaron Marsh Passes Away at 81
Aaron Marsh, a former wide receiver for the Boston Patriots, passed away on August 7 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, at the age of 81. Marsh played two seasons with the Patriots during the American Football League era.
Drafted in 1968, Marsh participated in 16 games, recording 27 receptions for 439 yards and four touchdowns. His rookie season was particularly notable, as he achieved 19 catches for 331 yards and all four of his career touchdowns, including a 70-yard reception.
Before joining the AFL, Marsh had a successful college career at Eastern Kentucky, where he earned All-Ohio Valley Conference honors and helped the team win the 1967 Grantland Rice Bowl. He was inducted into the Eastern Kentucky Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006. A memorial service is set for August 29 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
