Former Port Adelaide Player Daniel Stewart Passes Away
The Port Adelaide Football Club has announced the sudden passing of former player Daniel Stewart, who died on Friday at the age of 37.
Stewart played 36 games for the Power between 2010 and 2013, scoring 31 goals. In a statement, Power CEO Matthew Richardson expressed the club's heartbreak and confirmed that black arm bands would be worn in Stewart's honor during the first home game of the 2027 season.
Stewart's journey to the AFL included playing for the Eastern Ranges in the TAC Cup, followed by stints at Labrador in Queensland and North Adelaide in the SANFL, where he caught the attention of Port Adelaide scouts. The club has requested privacy for Stewart's family during this challenging time.
