Former Red Sox Slugger Butch Huskey Passes Away at 54

Butch Huskey, a former player for the Boston Red Sox, has died at the age of 54 in his hometown of Lawton, Oklahoma, due to a blood clot in his lung. His passing has prompted mourning among fans who remember his contributions to the team during the late 1990s.

Huskey, who spent most of his career with the New York Mets, was acquired by the Red Sox from the Seattle Mariners on July 26, 1999.
