Former UFC Fighter Marlon Moraes Uses Police Training During Traffic Stop

Marlon Moraes, a former UFC title contender and current police officer in Coral Springs, Florida, became the focus of viral attention after bodycam footage captured him subduing an aggressive driver during a traffic stop on March 27.

The incident escalated when the motorist confronted Moraes and other officers, refusing to cooperate and making provocative remarks. Despite initial attempts to de-escalate the situation, the confrontation intensified when the driver learned his vehicle was being towed.

In response to the driver's aggressive approach, Moraes executed a hip toss, bringing the man to the ground. Other officers quickly intervened to arrest the motorist, concluding the altercation. Moraes, who transitioned to law enforcement after a career in MMA, expressed a desire to help others through his new role.
