Former US Ambassador Acquires Stake in Aston Martin F1 Team

The Aston Martin Formula One team has announced that Robert Wood Johnson, who previously served as the US Ambassador to the United Kingdom, has acquired a strategic minority stake in the organization. He will also take on the role of Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors effective immediately.

Johnson brings a wealth of experience from his investments in various sports franchises, which includes interests in both the NFL and the English Premier League. His involvement is expected to create valuable commercial opportunities and synergies for Aston Martin within the global sports market.

While Johnson will focus on enhancing the team's commercial growth, particularly in the United States, he will not be involved in day-to-day management. Lawrence Stroll will continue to oversee the company as Executive Chairman and Controlling Shareholder. Stroll expressed enthusiasm about Johnson joining the team, highlighting his experience and commitment to innovation.
