During a conversation with Denise Salcedo, she revealed that she had a sense something was amiss, but did not anticipate being let go while recovering from a knee injury sustained during a qualifying match for Money in the Bank.

Stark described the emotional impact of receiving the news after a year of rehabilitation and multiple surgeries. She noted that despite her instincts hinting at a potential release, she was still caught off guard. Stark expressed her appreciation for WWE, stating that she cherishes the memories made during her time there.

Now wrestling under the name Zoey Serrano, she made her return to the ring at RevPro on July 25, where she teamed with Shayna Baszler to secure a victory against Kanji and Myla Grace the following day.
