Formula 1 Honors Sir Patrick Stewart with Fond Memory of Podium Celebration
Formula 1 has honored Sir Patrick Stewart by reminiscing about a memorable moment from the 2017 Canadian Grand Prix, where he participated in a unique celebration with Daniel Ricciardo.
Stewart, known for his roles in Star Trek and X-Men, passed away at the age of 86. The sport's official social media shared a tribute highlighting the Montreal podium event, where Stewart conducted interviews after a race that saw Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas finish first and second, respectively, with Ricciardo in third.
During the celebration, Ricciardo performed his signature shoey, and Stewart enthusiastically joined in, showcasing his playful spirit. Hamilton noted Stewart's willingness to partake in the celebration, while he himself opted out of the unconventional drink.
