Formula E Reschedules 2027 Monaco E-Prix to Avoid WEC Conflict

Formula E has adjusted its calendar for the 2027 season by moving the Monaco E-Prix forward by two weeks to May 1 and 2, 2027. This change was made to avoid a scheduling conflict with the World Endurance Championship, which is set to take place at Spa-Francorchamps on the same weekend.

The original schedule had the Monaco races occurring on May 15 and 16, coinciding with the WEC event. This overlap posed challenges for drivers participating in both series, particularly as Spa serves as a key preparatory race for the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Despite resolving the Monaco-Spa clash, another overlap remains, as the Shanghai E-Prix on July 10-11 will coincide with the WEC's Sao Paulo round. The 2026/27 Formula E season is set to begin in Jeddah on December 18-19, pending geopolitical conditions. Additionally, Formula E has confirmed its continued presence in Monaco until at least 2031.
