Four Arrested in Connection with Zolani Tete's Murder in South Africa

Four suspects have been apprehended in South Africa related to the murder of boxing champion Zolani Tete, who was fatally shot outside his residence in Mdantsane on Friday.

The 38-year-old Tete was attacked while waiting for the gate to open, with two armed assailants firing multiple shots at him and a female passenger, who is currently hospitalized. One suspect, a 22-year-old, is set to appear in court on Monday facing charges of murder and attempted murder.

The other three suspects, arrested on Sunday, are expected in court on Tuesday, with two facing charges for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Tete, a former WBO bantamweight and IBF super-flyweight champion, was preparing for a comeback fight after a recent ban ended in July.
