Fox Cub Chance Recovers with Hydrotherapy After Car Accident

A fox cub named Chance is undergoing rehabilitation in a hydrotherapy pool after being struck by a car. He was found injured in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire, and had been immobile for several days before being rescued.

Initially, veterinarians feared for his life, but Mansfield Wildlife Rescue intervened to provide care. Assisted swimming sessions at the Mansfield Canine Centre are helping Chance regain strength and confidence, with a dedicated carer overseeing his progress to limit human interaction.

Chance has started to use his back legs more effectively and is regaining sensation, which is promising for his potential release back into the wild. The rescue center has noted an increase in foxes being hit by vehicles this year, attributed to land development and changing weather patterns affecting their natural habitats.
