Francesco Bagnaia Faces Setback at British Grand Prix

Francesco Bagnaia experienced a challenging weekend at the British Grand Prix, where he failed to score points for the first time this season. After a promising trajectory before the summer break, Bagnaia faced difficulties at Silverstone, struggling to break into the top 10.

Returning to MotoGP following surgery on his right forearm, Bagnaia's performance deteriorated throughout the weekend. He encountered braking issues during practice, leading to a crash and preventing him from qualifying directly for Q2. His qualifying time was significantly slower than expected, placing him 16th on the grid.

During the sprint race, Bagnaia lost time due to tyre graining and finished in 17th place. The main race offered no improvement, as he quickly fell to 18th and ultimately crashed on lap 8. Bagnaia noted persistent issues with rear grip, which have hindered his performance this season, despite efforts from his team to resolve them.
