Francesco Bagnaia Optimistic Ahead of Malaysian Grand Prix
Francesco Bagnaia is looking forward to the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang, viewing it as a prime opportunity to improve his recent performance after scoring only 23 points in the last six races.
Bagnaia, who has previously won two of the last four grands prix at Sepang, plans to take more risks during the race weekend. He recalls his success last year, where he secured pole position and won the sprint race despite facing challenges. With the 2026 season approaching its end, he hopes to regain enjoyment on his GP26 bike.
The Sepang circuit was initially set for extensive renovations, but those plans were canceled, leading to only partial resurfacing. Bagnaia noted that the tyre selection has changed due to these circumstances, and he is eager to test the new medium tyre during the race.
