Francis Ngannou has opened up about his three-year legal battle with the UFC, following Dana White's recent comments dismissing any possibility of Ngannou's return to the organization. White expressed his disapproval of Ngannou during an appearance on the Nightcap show, labeling him a 'bad guy.'

Ngannou took to social media to share that he had invested significant time and resources into securing his release from the UFC, which he claims was reluctant to let him go. His original five-year contract included a championship clause that extended his obligations if he won the title, which he did in 2021 against Stipe Miocic.

Despite being offered a lucrative deal to remain with the UFC, Ngannou sought more freedom to pursue boxing, leading him to invoke a sunset clause in his contract that allowed him to exit in January 2023. The ongoing tension between Ngannou and White remains palpable, with Ngannou indicating a willingness to return under the right conditions, while White's animosity appears unchanged.
