Franklin Primera Named Carolina League Player of the Week

Franklin Primera, a catching prospect for the Boston Red Sox, has been awarded the title of Carolina League Player of the Week for the period of August 10-16, as announced by Minor League Baseball.

During the week, Primera participated in all six games for Low-A Salem against Delmarva, achieving a batting average of .474 with nine hits in 19 at-bats. His performance included one double, one triple, one home run, three RBIs, six runs scored, and one stolen base.

Since joining Salem from the Florida Complex League in late June, Primera has maintained a strong performance, batting .333 with notable statistics across 31 games. He is currently ranked as Boston's No. 3 prospect and has received recognition for his hitting skills and potential defensive improvements.
